GHIDORAH LIVES !
OPENING MAY 28th-30th CLOSING JUNE 19TH
Presented by TEROS and Burn All Books // Hosted by Good Faith Gallery
GHIDORAH LIVES! uncovers Asian American identity that spans across various politics and experiences. During Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we celebrate the labors of love from organizers, artists, and community members of the past, present, and future.
Taking inspiration from the pages of the 60s anti-imperialist zine GIDRA, the objective is to give visibility to the Asian American movement towards collective + intersectional liberation and call attention to the unique and diverse Asian American experiences in a time of social change.
The exhibition offers a reflection and a discovery of the nuanced relationships Asian Americans have with land+space, bodies+gender, histories+migration, media+propaganda, and their overall roles within social movements and activism.
